Join Scottsdale community historian Joan Fudala for the premier screening of the documentary Diamond in the Dust created to celebrate the 75^th anniversary of the founding of the City of Scottsdale. You will be educated and entertained with information and images from the founding of the city to the present day. Seminal moments and major players will be highlighted. Joan will add to the experience with additional photos and commentary based on her years as a Scottsdale historian.

About Joan Fudala:  Joan is a Scottsdale community historian and author of eight books, including Historic Scottsdale: A Life from the Land; Images of America - Scottsdale; Golf in Scottsdale; and 50 Years of the Scottsdale Charros & Spring Training. She served seven years as the Communications Director of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce / Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is a Trustee on the Board of Western Spirit and has been recognized with several civic awards including Scottsdale’s Woman of the Year in 2002. In January 2024, Scottsdale’s mayor proclaimed her “Scottsdale’s Official Historian,” an honorary title.
